Strauss-Kahn's lawyer said that the film's accusations of rape are intolerable and disgusting, the BBC reported.

The New York prosecutor has already cleared the former IMF boss of all the charges so he has the right to be forgotten like everyone else, he added.

Abel Ferrara, responded to the lawsuit news by appealing to his "freedom of expression" and said that the lawyers will talk the issue out.

The movie is about a French banker who sexually assaults a maid at a New York hotel, and Strauss-Kahn's name has not been mentioned in the movie anywhere.
