If rumours Are to be Believed, Apple May be Discontinuing production of 16gb Phones

In the world of leaks and rumours we have information from an IHS Technology analyst who posted on Chinese social media that company supply chain research indicates that the iPhone 7 will feature 32 GB storage as the $199 base model, which would mean Apple would finally drop the much-loathed 16 GB SKU from its lineup with its new flagship smartphone expected in the fall. 

IHS is relatively trustworthy when it comes to Apple rumors, predicting last year that a 4 inch iPhone would debut in 2016 based on supply chain sources-- that, ladies and gentlemen was the iPhone SE.

So maybe we'll only take this with a pinch of salt, the analyst claims that the iPhone 7 will feature 2 GB of RAM, the same specification as iPhone 6s.

The most important thing though is the claim that we could finally be saying goodbye to 16 GB flagship iPhones later this year.

Now while one can't just take the analyst's word for it, in a logical way it does make sense; the existence of 16 GB phones in Apple’s top-of-the-line product range has lasted far too long to not have an upgrade. 

The 16 GB initially hit the iPhone lineup in 2008 on the original iPhone and it has stuck around as the base model specification since.

However, the times have changed and 16gb just doesn't cut it anymore for consumers, with just a few apps, photos and videos and you have a full device. Especially as the latest iPhones feature 4K video recording, 16 GB is a pitifully small amount which is suitable for very few consumers. 

It’s interesting that IHS suggests Apple will bump the base model to 32 GB, as the iPhone 6s is not actually offered in that size at all. The current available configurations are 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. One theory for keeping 16 GB around so long is that allows Apple to upsell a lot of customers onto the 64 GB model for an additional $100 of bottom-line revenue.

So there are no details as to how exactly the base 32gb is going to work, but there you have it.

So if we do get a base iPhone with 32gb, it'll be the end of the 16gb era, an era that has already become outdated.

The LG G Pad III 8.0: A good mid-range Tab Geared towards Reading

LG have a new Android tablet, the LG G Pad III 8.0. It's a nice device but it was clearly made for the mid-range market as it cannot compete with the iPad.

This is not to say the LG G Pad III isn't any good, but after seeing products like the LG G5 or even the V10, you won't be frowned on for assuming LG definitely can make a premium tablet. 

That said, the G Pad III 8.0, which is the third generation of its kind, could still make for a decent mid-tier tablet with a bent towards multimedia and reading.

The G Pad III 8.0 is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor. Not much of those lying around other than the Snapdragon 615 or 617, which is at least on the higher end of the mid-range. There's only 2 GB of RAM, which is turning to be quite low these days, and 32 GB of storage, expandable with a microSD card, of course. The 8.0-inch screen does 1080p only, which is decent for most videos. In fact, the 16:10 aspect ratio does seem designed for that.

It does seem that the G Pad III seems very reader friendly. Aside from the pre-installed "Reedy Books" app, the tablet also features what LG calls "Reading Mode". This basically reduces the amount of blue light being emitted, commonly regarded to be harmful to eyes after prolonged exposure. This feature is called Night Mode or Night Shift in other products, but Reading Mode isn't time-based like those. Users can select the levels on their own and even manually toggle the feature with a dedicated button at the side.

The tablet comes with some Microsoft Office mobile apps, like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint pre-installed. But perhaps the most interesting productivity-related feature is the full-size USB 2.0 port it has right at the top. Definitely a rare feature among tablets, Android or otherwise and on this it receives high marks.

The G Pad III seems to be available in South Korea and has also been sighted in the US, a standard price is as yet unknown but we'll keep you updated on that front.

India Blocks Sales of Used iPhones In the Country

Apple's plans for a massive presence in the Indian market seems to have hit the rocks. First, Apple won’t be able to open retail stores straight away, and now, India has rejected its plan to sell low-cost refurbished iPhones.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple had stated that breaking into India's phone market was an important part of Apple's plans. For this to work though, Apple were going to need to figure out a way to sell devices in a country where the average phone price is around $100 Apple phones aren't that cheap.

The gameplan was to then sell refurbished iPhones — Basically Apple would be easing these phones from the more cash endowed markets, patch them up, back them with a warranty, and sell for a cheaper rate in the Indian market.

But India’s government isn't 'down' with the idea and perceive it as a plan to make India some sort of dumping ground for Apple’s last-gen technology. According to LiveMint, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman told a press conference that “We are not in favour of any company selling used phones in the company, however certified they may be.”

“Dumping” basically refers to selling a product in a foreign market for cheaper than in the domestic market, allowing a more technologically developed country and company to use its manufacturing power to drive out local competition.

Tim Cook has come out to say that this is not the case and said:

“First of all, we would never ‘dump’ anything, this in virtually all countries in the world we have a process by which a phone that’s been used by the first owner or is taken back and made to be new, if you will, and a warranty is placed on that, just like a warranty for a new phone. And it’s sold for a more affordable price and that happens in several countries. What we want to do is do the act of bringing it back to this pristine level, we want to do that in India for the Indian market. We may have to bring in some phones from other markets in order to fuel the supply chain if you will. But the act of bringing them to pristine conditions, we want to do that in this country,”

The Indian Government don't see it that way though and on top of that, Apple may not be allowed to open retail stores for some months, either.

Indian law stipulates that to open a branded retail store, that store must be selling 30 percent locally-made products. Apple does not have that.

They have applied for a waiver of that rule until it can get manufacturing up and running in India, but the most recent reports hint that the Indian government won’t be forthcoming.

So it remains to be seen if Apple will be able to keep their promise of have a presence in India for the “next thousand years.” 

A Xiaomi Redmi 3A with 4000 mAh battery & 13MP camera could be in the works

With the launch of the Redmi Note 33 done and dusted, Xiaomi seems to be working on another Redmi series smartphone with a massive 4000 mAh battery.

Rumours indicate that the phone could be called the Xiaomi Redmi 3A. It was spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency, TENAA.

According to the listing, the Xiaomi Redmi 3A has a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display, 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor and Adreno 505 GPU. 

It has 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and expected to have an expandable storage slot. It will come with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5 megapixel front facing camera and a 4,000 mAh battery. Xiaomi Redmi 3A comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The phone purportedly runs on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and the images reveal that it comes in Gold and Silver colours. Connectivity options of the device include dual SIM, 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3A is rumored to be priced around $91.

Microsoft Office's 'Tell Me' Features now on Android

Microsoft office is definitely a compulsory app that almost anyone who owns a computer has need for and beyond the pretty mundane stuff that we do on it, there's some other pretty impressive stuff that can be done with Microsoft Office.

Most of us don't have any idea how to do some of this stuff and we don't know anything beyond the basic stuff.

People actually pay to learn how to use office, so i try not to feel too bad about my lack of super genius mode on the app.

But my ignorance about certain aspects of the app maybe not be a problem anymore with the introduction of  the “Tell Me” feature. It's a tool can be accessed by simply tapping on the light bulb icon that is visible in the app. Once the text box is available, all you need to do is start typing what you want to find and you should get the necessary help instantly.

And if you are having trouble locating said light bulb icon, simply tap the “A” and pencil icon on the top of the interface, then select the light bulb. The process is a tad simpler for tablet users as they have more space to fiddle around with. All they need to do is to find the light bulb icon on the top-right corner.

Apart from that, the only new updates are that Word also gains the ability to merge and split cells while Excel gets improved auto-complete, in addition to the ability to expand or collapse grouped rows and columns. PowerPoint remains the same with no additional improvements or features, save Tell Me.

So there you have it, you have any problem with Microsoft office, you are now covered by the "Tell Me" Feature.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra Is an Absolute Monster of A Phone

Asus today welcomed three new devices to its Android portfolio - the regular Zenfone 3, the beefy Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and finally, the ultra-large Zenfone 3 Ultra. 

And the last one? Phew! It's a true behemoth, in almost every way.

Okay so what do i mean? It's 6.8 inches long, and that is very, very big, when you're talking mobile phones, that's Godzilla size right there.

The Zenfone 3 is the Yao Ming of phones standing at that incredible height though this is arguably its biggest highlight. 

In terms of Specs, it is not as impressive as the 6GB RAM Deluxe phone Asus also introduced, it's just a very good upper mid-range device.

On the Design front, it's a full-metal device that comes without any visible antenna lines, and Asus claims this is the world's first phone to do so. 

Let's hope that's a trend that continues. Also, despite being branded as a member of the Zenfone 3 family, its design is quite different from the Zenfone 3 and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Its fingerprint reader, for example (yes, it has one!), is embedded under a physical home button up front. 

The Zenfone 3 is also doing pretty well in the sound department. It's set to arrive with a duo of powerful five-magnet stereo speakers, as well as DTS 7.1 virtual surround support.  

And if that was not enough to make you truly terrified about the phone, It comes with a 4,600mAh battery. 

Let that sink in.

So basically this means that the Zenfone 3 Ultra can charge other phones with a 1.5A power output. 

The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra will be available in Taiwan, Asia Pacific, China, and Europe, but there's no word about the USA yet.

Samsung's Next Smartphone will have a Dedicated VR display

Virtual Reality (VR) is going to be the new reality and is the next big thing for smartphones now. 

This week, Samsung already made a move, demonstrating a new smartphone display designed specifically for VR and likely headed to a future Samsung smartphone. According to a report from UploadVR, the 5.5-inch panel packs 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution, making it a 4K class screen. It has a staggering 806PPI, 350 nit brightness level, and can reproduce 97 percent of the color gamut.

Samsung isn't the first display maker to pack 4K resolution into a phone-sized screen — Sony before them had the Z5 Premium last year with such a panel.

UploadVR also reported that Samsung was also demonstrating a new display tech called "Bio Blue" . The technology reportedly emits less blue light than Samsung's own AMOLED screens making it better.

The 4K display is still being called a prototype, but it won't be surprising to find it crop up on one of the more pricey and sophisticated Samsung phones very soon.

Updated Google App on iOS is now Faster than ever before

Google's new update on the iOS is now faster than ever. This would come as good news to iPhone and iPad users as the ever growing demand for speed while browsing grows each day.

New features have now been added to create a better user experience.  

The general idea from Google is to help save your precious minutes. While you may not notice the speed differences be rest assured that they're there...cos Google says so .

It's estimated that Google iOS mobile users will be saved 6.5 million hours throughout the rest of 2016 due to these improvements.

Most notably, Google app for iOS now supports Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), which are news articles from a bunch of different publishers that are optimized to load instantly when opened (a sort of competitive hat tip toward Facebook’s Instant Articles, if you will). 

Long and short is that everything is faster. Google says everything you do in the app, including searches, are ‘just a bit quicker’ than before. While on every individual task the time saving might not look like much, but in the greater scheme of things, Google iOS users will save a lot of time.

Acer Liquid Zest Plus arrives in Stores in the US July 2016

Acer has never really done much with the USA paying more attention usually to the international market. But it seems that's all about to change.

Acer will be launching the Liquid Zest Plus in July in the USA.

The Zest (Not lemon or Orange) is an unlocked LTE smartphone with Android 6.0, a 5.5-inch 720p display, and a whopping 5,000mAh battery.

The Liquid Zest Plus is meant to be more of a middle class phone with a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core Cortex-A53 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It has a rear-facing 13MP camera that Acer says uses a "tri-focus" system for faster captures. 

There's a mono speaker on the back, but the Liquid Zest Plus apparently has "DTS-HD Premium Sound." 

The Biggest plus for the Liquid Zest plus though is the humongous battery. It's so big, Acer claim it can be used for three days on one charge!

So, if you're looking to pick up a phone on a budget that has a battery that lasts forever then the Zest plus is for you.

It will retail at $199 when it launches in July. The international price for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia will be €199, and it should be out around the same time.

Microsoft Planning a major move in the gaming market to Challenge Sony's Playstation

It won't be particularly odd to say that Sony's Playstation is probably winning the console wars at the moment.

Microsoft has a pretty loud voice, but it's probably not quite on par with Nintendo and Playstation. Nintendo seeing that they probably couldn't catch up with Playstation's AAA games, decided to take another route, paying more attention to making family oriented games and beloved titles.

Microsoft is trying but is still a little behind, they aren't giving up though as multiple reports indicate that Microsoft is about to announce a new, slimmer Xbox One around E3 in June, and a more powerful Xbox One next year.

In April 2016, FCC filings showed that Microsoft was working on two new consoles. Kotaku just confirmed this with more details on the company’s plans.

First according to kotaku, Microsoft is going to release a slimmer Xbox One in the coming months. The console should be just as powerful as the Xbox One, but as much as 40 percent smaller according to The Verge. While this console should be cheaper, it should also come with a beefy 2TB hard drive.

After that Microsoft could according to reports be preparing to announce a much more powerful Xbox One for next year. 

This could very well be in response to a rumored PlayStation 4 ‘Neo’ that Sony is planning to announce this Fall. The Neo should be more powerful in order to work with the PlayStation VR headset.

The new Xbox one will be nicknamed ‘Scorpio’ and the plan is for all games to be compatible with both the old and new consoles the only perk being that the games look better on the newer consoles. 

Kotaku reports that the new Xbox One specs are not certain at the moment. Polygon however, has learned that Microsoft is targeting 6 teraflops of GPU power, more than the PlayStation 4 ‘Neo’. Microsoft could be working with Oculus to make its console compatible with the Oculus VR headset.

Microsoft has announced that it will be joining forces with Facebook to build "MAREA", an internet cable that will be put under the Atlantic Ocean. 
This they say is to help meet the growing demand for Microsoft's various online services.

Microsoft stated In a blog post,

"We're seeing an ever-increasing customer demand for high speed, reliable connections for Microsoft cloud services, including Bing, Office 365, Skype, Xbox Live, and Microsoft Azure. As the world continues to move towards a future based on cloud computing, Microsoft is committed to building out the unprecedented level of global infrastructure required to support ever faster and even more resilient connections to our cloud services. This robust, global infrastructure will enable customers to more quickly and reliably store, manage, transmit and access their data in the Microsoft Cloud."

The cable is said to be over 4,100 miles long (That's really long) and will stretch from Virginia Beach, Virginia to Bilbao, Spain. It will also have eight fiber pairs that can handle as much as 160Tbps of data. 

The duo od Microsoft and facebook will partner with Telxius, Telefónica's telecommunications infrastructure company, on the contruction of "MAREA" . Telxius will be in charge of the cable once it is complete.

Construction kicks off in August 2016 and is scheduled to be finished in October 2017. 

Samsung Gear VR might soon Get a Dedicated Controller

The Gear VR headset from Samsung has arguably been one of the biggest things to arrive in the world of virtual reality. 

And Samsung don't want to stop there, they're taking it up a bit with a dedicated gaming controller possibly being thrown into the mix.

This is according to some leaked renders published by Samsung Mania. This device will presumably replace Samsung’s pretty standard wireless gamepad, which is the default option for users with a Gear VR at the moment.

The replacement controller looks pretty ordinary, with a basic gaming layout and Bluetooth support. You can see a single joystick and four circular buttons in front, along with a menu button and LED power indicator. 

At the back, Samsung deigned to add a left and right trigger and a Bluetooth sync button in the middle.

It all looks pretty cool, it also sports a textured plastic that should feel comfortable when you hold it. To heighten the experience, Samsung even nicely added small indents on either side so you can pop the controller into the Gear VR headset when it’s not in use.

Cool huh

On the flip side though, it seems there will be no motion tracking sensors with the controller. 

That little kink would have made it possible to interact directly with objects in virtual reality, instead of simply offering a traditional gaming interface. 

Of course all this could end up being absolute hogwash, there's also no estimated time or release or estimated price, so we have to observe carefully.

 If it is going to happen though, it could very well come pretty soon. Maybe even in time for the new Galaxy Note 7 phablet, which is expected to get an updated Gear VRheadset to match its new dimensions.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Iris, the first commercial device to use Aadhar data launched

Samsung have made a bold step by making the first commercial tab that taps into the Aadhar platform. 

The Tab is called the Iris, and it's a seven-inch tablet with integrated digital authentication in the form of an iris scanner.

To showcase the device, Samsung India vice-president Sukesh Jain scanned his eyes to use the tablet to pull up his Aadhar details. 

The product was designed by the company’s R&D labs in Bangalore over the past 18 months. The device, which a selling price of Rs 13,499, is protected by Samsung Knox and sends only encrypted iris packets. It also has an open SDK letting developers create apps for the tablet.

Interestingly, since a lot of other countries are also looking at Aadhar to create their own unique identification systems, Samsung could use the learnings here to tweak the product for other markets. 

Also, While Samsung has created one app to access the Aadhar database and is opening to create more reference apps, Samsung have said it would be up to third parties to create more apps as the SDK and APIs are open. 

LG G Flex 3 Could Get September Release At IFA

In what will be exciting news for all LG lovers, we could very well see the LG G Flex 3 this year.

The last time we saw LG launch a new G Flex handset was last year when they came out with the LG G Flex 2. So naturally we waited with bated breath for another announcement around the same time this year, alas, we were disappointed which is why it isn’t surprising that some are thinking that maybe LG is done with the G Flex series.

From the looks of things though, this might not be the case, thanks to new rumors that have sprung up.

According to the latest rumors, LG will be unveiling the LG G Flex 3 later this year during IFA 2017. Companies like LG and Samsung tend to announce new products at the event, like Samsung and their Galaxy Note series, so it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if LG did the same.

According to the rumored specs, the LG G Flex 3 will come loaded with a 5.5-inch display with a QHD resolution. 

It could also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which makes perfect sense, along with 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB storage options, and a 16MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Of course all this must be taken with some caution as nothing is concrete yet, but we will keep you updated as things progress.

So It Turns out the Chairman of Google is an iPhone User, read what he said

It all feels very Romeo and Juliet: Two families, Rivals and in-between that two lovers from two rival families.

That's the story of Eric Schmidt and the iPhone.

Mr. Schmidt just happens to be the executive chairman of Alphabet who happen to own Google, so you'd expect such a person to use an Android right? Wrong.

He uses an iPhone 6s, the Apple phone that's all the rage. He admitted this during an interview, but still claimed a little love for Samsung.

The interview was with CNBC at Startup Fest in Amsterdam on Tuesday. Schmidt said that he was an iPhone user, but that he also owns a Galaxy S7.

“Samsung S7 is better. It has a better battery. And those of you who are iPhone users (know) I’m right,” Schmidt said. 

Schmidt didn't even recommend the Nexus 5X or the Nexus 6P over the iPhone, which are Google’s latest Nexus handsets.

There will be those who'd say Schmidt is using the iPhone to keep his enemies closer and keep a close eye on the competition, it's an excuse that's been used before. Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore had said the same thing in late January when he was caught tweeting from an iPhone.

From 2017, Apple iPhones will Sport OLED screens...just as God intended

OLED screen technology is all the rage and for good reason, their panels are lighter, look better, and can be curved into more interesting shapes.

If that isn't better...then err...you know.

The very top Android phones have been in the know for years using them for their products but for some reason Apple hasn't followed the same trend.

But if reports are to be believed that may all change with indications that 2017 iPhones will feature OLED panels.

A certain Bloomberg article cites a sudden spike in demand for screen-manufacturing technology as an indicator of suppliers preparing for a big increase in demand for OLED displays. Put two on two and you can notice a pattern.

In the article, Bloomberg specifically quotes Applied Materials Inc (AM), a manufacturer of machines used in the production of displays. The equipment is going to Samsung, LG, Foxconn, and Sharp, all of whom are primary suppliers of displays to Apple. 

The increase in orders apparently isn't a fluke, as AM recorded orders worth $700 million in the space of three months, close to what it would normally see in a year.

The timing sees it fit right into the 2017 iPhone spectrum as new machinery coming into play will most likely be seen early next year, ready for a production run of components to be assembled for a fall 2017 iPhone 7s release.

What makes this particular rumour ring true isn't so much the sales as the fact that it's only logical that after years of using LCD screens, Apple, who claim to be the leader in phone technology have to take the next step up and that's OLED displays. 

Organic light-emitting diode displays (OLED) have pixels that light themselves, without needing a backlight. That makes for displays that are thinner (no need for a separate light behind the screen), have more contrast, since only the necessary pixels will light up, and better battery life for the same reason.

So...makes sense.

Checkout Will.i.am's new Apple Exclusive Earphones

Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas has released a new pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones.

They look like vinyl records which is pretty cool, they're pretty pricey ($229.95) and they're exclusively Apple. They are also sold in a few select Apple stores.

The Earphones are not the best design from will.i.am's tech company, i.am+, but they're certainly not the worst either.

The earphones come with gold or black highlights, and the circular covers clip together magnetically, back-to-back, to keep the earphones cinched around your neck when not in use. 

It has other cool features including an in-built mic and volume controls, woven fabric cable construction, and larger-than-usual 14mm drivers in the earphones themselves (although that's no guarantee of audio quality).

On the flip side, They're engraved with the messages "left and gone" and "right and wrong" to tell which earphone is which, and Apple's product notes inform users they should "listen closely for i.am+ founder will.i.am’s voice when you turn on your EPs or connect to Bluetooth.". Nothing against Will.i.am's voice, but it'll get old-- fast.

It remains to be seen if the new Will.i.am earphones are going to make an impact in the market.

According to Google By The End of the Year Passwords might Become a thing of the Past

On Android devices at least.

Daniel Kaufman, at a developer’s conference Friday during Google I/O, revealed that Google had plans to make password identifications obsolete by the end of the year.

The plan will be to rely on a new set of technologies being developed by Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects division. ATAP calls this new technology Trust API.

Google believe that phones are smart enough to know when passwords are really starting to show their age. 

According to Kaufman “We have a phone, and these phones have all these sensors in them,

“Why couldn’t it just know who I was, so I don’t need a password? It should just be able to work.”

Trust API would use a variety of metrics to calculate a “Trust Score,” which is essentially, its belief that you are who you are supposed to be.

The Trust Score would consider things like your typing speed, vocal patterns, facial recognition, location, and proximity to familiar Bluetooth devices and wifi hotspots. 

So low risk apps like games and basic tools wouldn’t need to bother with high trust scores to run, On the other hand, banking apps or other highly sentive apps would need a much, much higher trust score.

 If all goes according to plan, this could well be our reality by the end of 2016 and Trust API is what we'll be using.

Samsung and AT&T will tag team to release their Dolph Lungrenesque (rugged) version of the flagship Galaxy S7 smartphone, the Galaxy S7 Active. 

As per usual, the specs for this water- and dust-resistant cell phone are quite similar to those of its mainstream linemate.

The design of the S7 Active has very few changes from last year’s Active model. 

But if you look closely, its measurements are slightly larger across all three dimensions, including an increased thickness of 9.9 millimeters — over a millimeter thicker than the 8.6-millimeter Galaxy S6 Active.

There’s also been a 15-gram weight gain, from 170 grams to 185 grams.

That increase is likely due to the S7 Active’s significantly larger battery, whose 4000mAh capacity is almost 15 percent greater than the prior model’s 3500mAh pack. 

Even with all this the screen remains the same as the last model. Its 5.1-inch, 1440 x 2560-pixel Super AMOLED display is identical as both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 Active.

So while the surface is very similar, under the hood is a whole new universe. The S7 Active is powered by a Snapdragon 820 system-on-chip from Qualcomm, and features 4GB of RAM (1GB more than last year) and 32GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the new Active will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The S7 Active features a 12-megapixel camera, down from the 16-megapixel resolution found in the S6 and S6 Active. But like the Galaxy S7, the S7 Active benefits from a so-called dual pixel sensor that improves low-light image capture. 

Once again, the front-facing selfie cam offers a five megapixel resolution.

Finally, like last year’s Galaxy S6 Active, the S7 Active will be exclusive to AT&T when it launches in June.

Android O will be available on the Moto G4 Plus...if you want it

The Motorola G series has got those who are looking for a new phone on a budget talking.

This is mostly because it packs a variety of nifty features all in an affordable package and a pretty sick camera too.

If there's any worry, Android do this thing where older models don’t get as much love as before once a new model enters the fray in the matter of updates.

Looks like the Moto G4 Plus isn't going that way though as it has been revealed that the Moto G4 Plus will be upgradeable to Android N and Android O. The former is still in development but it is expected to be released later this year.

That also means that the handset’s upgrade to Android N is pretty much a given. 

So...If Motorola really does do it and updates the handset to Android O, then those getting the phone can be assured of the N and the O (NO?). Nothing's set in stone though, but for now that's how it is.

Apple Preparing for Bumper Sales with As Many as 78 million iPhone 7s being Prepped for Launch- Reports

Okay so we're all pretty stoked for the possible fall release of the iPhone 7. We've been told it could be made of glass, we've heard of all the ultra cool features, so our collective appetites have been wheted.

So the question is will there be enough at initial release for us all?

If the rumours are to be believed, then hell yeah! According to reports, Apple are planning to have around 78 million units of the phone ready for launch. 

If this is indeed true, it will mark the highest launch target since the iPhone 6. That could mean that Apple views new features shipping with the iPhone 7 in the same category as the screen size jumps that came alongside the iPhone 6.

In news that will surprise a grand total of zero people, Foxconn will continue to carry the mail when it comes to iPhone production. 

The company, based in Taiwan bases its factories primarily in mainland China and has hundreds of thousands of workers dedicated to Apple's mobile device business.
