NBA Star Kobe Bryant Launches Investment Fund Worth $100m

NBA hall of fame Star Kobe Bryant has teamed up with investor Jeff Stibel to launch a $100 million fund for tech companies, according to the Wall Street Journal report.The investment coming from their personal pockets will not be just for tech but also for media and data companies and it is expected to last “the next few years.”

Kobe Bryant says he believes he has the ability to identify young and promising entrepreneurs.He also adds;
It’s the inner belief that a person has that he will endure no matter what the obstacle may be. It’s that persistence, the entrepreneur doing what he or she truly believes in and truly loves to do,” he said.
Jeff Stibel made it clear that the purpose of investing in companies is to add real values to them and not for someone to use Kobe as an endorser.

Kobe Bryant adds up to the list of NBA players that finance and manage startup companies which includes Steph Curry,Carmelo Anthony and Shaquille O’Neal.

This is indeed a good initiative from Kobe Bryant as he nears retirement from playing basketball.
