Apple Campus 2 Nears Completion

As the Apple second campus nears completion with only four months to go,the construction which began in Cupertino ,California United States early 2014 under Steve Jobs (Apple's CEO) initiative is expected to be completed in 2017.

The campus which was built on 176 acres (71 hectares) of land covers an area of 2,800,000 square feet and was estimated to cost $160 million,total project cost was estimated at $5 billion.

The structure was built to house Apple's employees,expected to move in as soon as completion is reached,the building is estimated to accommodate 12,000 employees.The building was designed by architect  Lord Norman Foster of architectural firm Foster and Partners with a design called Neo-futurism

Apple also plans to add more than 7,000 of 300 different species, including many fruit trees. Steve Jobs envisioned replicating some of the California landscape that was around when he was a child, which includes sprawling orchards.Along with 80 percent green space, the campus will feature employee amenities like jogging and cycling trails,basketball and tennis courts.
