Getting right to the point, i have a very peculiar problem, let me put it in points, will be easier to read,
1) About 1 and half years ago i had rooted my phone using 'VRoot one click root' (i do not remember the version). This went perfectly, no problems whatsoever.
2) Next naturally, i installed TWRP, this also went perfectly, no problem whatsoever.
3) After a few months, i got an update for KK via OTA which i downloaded and when i tried installing it failed to install since it could not find the stock recovery. However the phone rebooted and everything was fine but was not able to update
4) So to fix this issue, i flashed the stock recovery and rebooted the phone which also worked (so far so good).
5) Now that i was on stock recovery, i re-downloaded the KK update and voila this time it went into the stock recovery and it started installation and it completed installation and it rebooted (this is where the problem started). The phone went into bootloop.
6) So naturally i panicked (being my first time), took the phone to a service centre and he told they will have to replace the MB which will cost 8k-12k. So me being broke, i told "No thank you" and bought the phone home.
7) Reading blogs online, i came across the GNQC flash tool, which can be used to fix bricked Gionee Elife E7 phones, which i downloaded.
8) Through lots of trials and error i was able to use the tool to flash back my Gionee Elife E7 to life (JB 4.2.2).
9) Now the peculiar problem, i thought now that my phone is like a fresh new phone, no root, no custom recovery, maybe i should update my phone to KK. However, when i did the OTA update again, the phone went into a bootloop.
10) So back to GNQC, flash and back to life.
11) So i just got another idea, i re-rooted my phone, installed TWRP, and tried a Custom ROM for my model from this forum, but that too gave me the same outcome -> bootloop. I tried this with several other Custom ROM's, all failed.
12) So again back to GNQC, flash and back to life. (story of my life)
13) So i just left hopes of updating my phone to KK, and left it be.
14) A few months later, someone uploaded the GNQC brush pack for KK for Gionee Elife E7 32GB. So immediately downloaded the brush pack and flashed KK, but you know what, this time too bootloop :( :( (However this time i noticed something, the boot animation changed, also the battery charging animation changed)
15) So back to GNQC, flash and back to life.
16) Now what i am asking you guys is, what is happening here, i am unable to figure out.
17) Is there some sort of logs or something i can share that will help you guys figuring what the problem is.
18) Just an update: Tried rooting, doesn't work anymore :(
Please help, *bribing you guys with beer*, dying to see KK on my phone :(
