I followed this guide to install a new boot-manager, back up my device, and then install a custom ROM with CyanogenMod. I haven't updated any of my software or done and serious changes since then.
However, I recently tried to use an app that requires root access, and was unable to get it working. Upon further inspection I figured out my device doesn't have root access at all! How is this even possible, I know installing a custom ROM and rooting are two different things, but I figured rooting was required to install a custom ROM. What did i miss, what should I do?
Help much appreciated.
