Rajapaksa orders release of 29 Indian fishermen

Colombo, Jun 3 (PTI) President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered the release of 29 Indian fishermen arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy while they were fishing near Katchatheevu.

The fishermen had been produced before the magistrate in the northeastern town of Mannar and ordered to be in remand custody until June 16.
